Cactus FAQs

Q: What is a succulent?
A: Succulents are plants that have adapted to dry or arid climates. Water is stored in their leaves, stems, and roots, which usually gives them more of a fleshy look. All cacti are succulents.

Q: How do I take care of my cactus?
A: A cactus is not a hard plant to care for, but there are tips that will ensure that it stays healthy. Fore example, it should be in direct sunlight at all times, and make sure the pots have a good drainage system. Repotted plants have more chances of falling victim to rot, so keep them in the same pot.

Q: What’s the largest cactus?
A: Generally, the saguaro is the biggest cactus–found in the North American southwest. The biggest recorded one was in Maricopa County, Arizona which measured 13.8 m tall!
